Pictures, Pictures, Pictures!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while!

I know, i know, I haven't posted in forever. Just been really busy with work and getting ready for Sam's arrival . According to Mike, only 24 days left til my c-section! Crazy how fast this pregnancy has gone. My c-section is scheduled for October 16th @ 9:30am (she is breech). I can't wait!!! I'm almost 36weeks now so I have no worries if i do go into labor now. I would much rather have everything go as planned, but I know that that doesn't always happen. We are ready no matter what.

I am now seeing Dr. Swanson once a week and getting NST's twice a week (just because of my anemia, the doc wants to keep a close eye on us). Saw the doc yesterday and they really want me off of work. I only have 6 shifts left, so part of me wants to just tough it out and part of me is kinda wanting to be off. Only reason they want me to be done working is because my lower legs and feet are pretty darn swollen. Everything else is fine though. BP is 117/62, I've only gained 25lbs so far, no protein in my urine. It doesn't help that when I went for my appointment yesterday, I had only gotten a couple of hours of sleep after working a horrible 12 hr shift, so of course my feet and legs were super swollen. We were sooooo busy on Monday. I think we had 22 babies in less than 20hrs! It was craziness. Thankfully I have awesome co-workers that take care of me.

I will post belly pictures tonight. Just need Mike to take a couple. I feel huge and she likes to hang out right under my ribs which makes it a little hard to breathe sometimes.

I have had 2 baby showers since my last post. They were both beautiful. The first one was thrown by my co-workers. I cannot thank Lilia, Iwan, Hayley, Leslie and MaryRose enough. It was truely amazing. It was actually a little overwhelming. So many people came to celebrate this little miracle with us. We were very spoiled! There was tons of delicious food and so many gifts. I needed a nap after opening all of them. I really do have amazing friends and coworkers. I really don't think that I will be able to even see Samantha when she is born...I think everybody will be hogging her hahaha.

My second shower was also beautiful. It was thrown by my awesome mother in law and sister in law Melissa. My other sister in law Debbie is also expecting and is due 4 weeks after us so it was a combined family shower. Sam and I got spoiled again. I don't think that I will need to buy clothes for her for a long time! She will be the best dressed baby in the nursery that's for sure! My mother in law got the most delicious cake from Sweet Dreams cakery...the same place that did our wedding cake. SOoooooooo good!

I will post some pictures of the first shower. Don't have any pictures of the second one, but I think Melissa took some so I will have to ask her to send them to me.

Sam moves a lot. She moves so much that the nurses are hating doing my NST's because they can't get her to be still long enough to get a good strip. She is so our child. Stubborn as can be hahaha. I love just staring at my belly and watching her move around. It's like there is an alien in my belly...sooooo cool.

I am still having a hard time sleeping but it's not Sam that keeps me up. Most of it is caused by my stupid bladder. I swear I pee every hour! you could set your clock to it. My fibromyalgia pain is not helping either. It's getting worse probably just from the stress on my body. I'm toughing it out though and nap when I can.

Well, enough with this novel of a post. I will get crackin on posting some pictures now.

Hematologist appointment

I went to see Dr. Wittlinger today. First off, he is such a nice man. Really enjoyed my visit with him. Well, first thing they did when I got there was to draw my labs. It's kinda nice that they have their own lab right there. Good news is my hemoglobin went up from 6.8 to 7.5 in just a couple of weeks. Dr. W thinks that my body is finally starting to absorb all the iron I've been taking. He has decided not to treat me with transfusions (thank goodness!) and to just play the wait and see game. He will be checking my levels every 2 weeks til I deliver. If my hgb really drops, that's when we'll start thinking about blood transfusions but for right now, I'm just gonna keep taking my iron and hope for the best.

29 week belly

I'm thinking it's gonna be a big baby...or my uterus is huge. This belly looks like way more than 14lbs to me but I love it.

Crib and Glider!

Mike put everything together and it looks great! I also finished her comforter, I just need to get started on the bumpers. Of course, we had to see what Milo thought of the crib...not too pleased hahaha. We left the plastic on the glider so that the cats wouldn't get it all hairy while we wait for the new door to be put up.

28 week appointment

My appointment went well this morning. Dr. Swanson said that i am sailing through this pregnancy. I've gained another 4lbs. My blood pressure is still good. Baby and uterus are growing just right. She is nice and active with a good heart rate. I passed my glucose tolerance which means I am not diabetic (thank god!). Only thing is that even on all this Iron I'm taking, my hemoglobin went down some more. No wonder I've been feeling a bit more tired than usual these days! So the good doctor is sending me to see a hematologist to see what we can do to bring those numbers up. Otherwise, everything is going great.

Mike has set up the crib and we got a mattress. It looks beautiful! I will post pictures tomorrow. He is now setting up the glider and ottoman. Can't wait to see the finished product. If he is able to have it put together tonight, I will post pictures of it as well. I am still having a hard time finding some lamps for her room that I like and don't cost a fortune. I think I will check out bed bath and beyond and see if I find anything there.

4D ultrasound

We had our 4D ultrasound yesterday. At first I didn't really want to do it because I think they are a little creepy, but I really wanted to make sure that we were in fact having a girl and plus, it was another opportunity to take a peek at this beautiful little baby and to know that she is doing well. Well, it is 100% sure that it is a girl! Now I can start taking tags off of clothes and start washing them and putting them away. So excited!! Of course, being Mike and I's daughter, she would not cooperate for the ultrasound tech lady. All we wanted was a good picture of her face but nooooo, little miss kept putting her hands, arms, feet and sometimes all 4 limbs in front of her face. It was actually kinda funny. You could see the frustration in the tech's face hahaha. She did give us the money shot and we definitely saw vagina (she also showed us her butt crack which Mike thought was pretty funny). It was kinda cool to see her moving around, yawning, sucking and taping her little foot. She is quite bendy. Putting her legs on top of her head and wiggling her toes at the same time. It was really cute. So here are some of the pictures we were able to get. Hope you can figure out what's what. She has very chubby cheeks and likes to bury her face in her placenta. Don't forget that if you want to see the pictures a little bigger, just click on them!
