4D ultrasound

We had our 4D ultrasound yesterday. At first I didn't really want to do it because I think they are a little creepy, but I really wanted to make sure that we were in fact having a girl and plus, it was another opportunity to take a peek at this beautiful little baby and to know that she is doing well. Well, it is 100% sure that it is a girl! Now I can start taking tags off of clothes and start washing them and putting them away. So excited!! Of course, being Mike and I's daughter, she would not cooperate for the ultrasound tech lady. All we wanted was a good picture of her face but nooooo, little miss kept putting her hands, arms, feet and sometimes all 4 limbs in front of her face. It was actually kinda funny. You could see the frustration in the tech's face hahaha. She did give us the money shot and we definitely saw vagina (she also showed us her butt crack which Mike thought was pretty funny). It was kinda cool to see her moving around, yawning, sucking and taping her little foot. She is quite bendy. Putting her legs on top of her head and wiggling her toes at the same time. It was really cute. So here are some of the pictures we were able to get. Hope you can figure out what's what. She has very chubby cheeks and likes to bury her face in her placenta. Don't forget that if you want to see the pictures a little bigger, just click on them!

25 week Belly!

Here you go...I know, it looks more like a 30week belly. I've had people say to me "Oh you are due any day now huh?" yeah, no, I'm barely passed the halfway mark, thanks.

25 weeks

I went to my OB appointment today. Again, everything is perfect. Blood pressure is textbook (120/70), baby has a great heart rate and moves around like crazy and I've only gained 2 pounds since the last appointment which apparently is just fine. So that's ten pounds total since the beginning of the pregnancy which baffles me because I feel huge and I'm eating constantly. I have a lot of small meals because this kid is already pretty long and she likes to hang out by my stomach so that I get full really fast (even faster than before). My uterus measures 28 weeks! I seriously think we are going to have a tall, lanky kid...just like her dad! The only concern my OB has is that my hemoglobin is low. Well, it's been low for the last at least 5 years. I usually run between 7 and 9 and it was 7.7 so of course, he put me on another different kind of iron and this one I have to take 3 times a day...crazy. I think I need to buy stock in colace from here on hahaha. So that's what's new. I will try to post belly pics tonight or tomorrow.

Belly pictures

I've been harrassed to put up belly pictures so I finally got Mike to take a couple tonight. I am 21 weeks today and I feel huge. She is moving around all the time, especially when I play music that she likes. I think we have a little dancer on our hands (please, don't start singing tiny dancer ;) haha). I will try to post some once a month, but I make no guarantees!

Half way there!

I still can't believe that I am already 20 weeks! Crazy how fast this is going. I went to my 20 week appointment with the OB today and everything looks great. Uterus is measuring perfectly. The little one's heart rate was awesome and she was super active the whole time which I love. My blood pressure was perfect and my urine clean. What I still can't get over is the fact that I have only gained another 4 pounds since my last appointment which was 5 weeks ago. Crazy! My belly has gotten so much bigger that I thought for sure I would have gained 10-15 pounds. I made the nurse weigh me twice because I didn't believe it. So that is 8 pounds total in 20 weeks. Not bad at all.

Get ready for Pink!

So, I'm at work right now and one of our doctors was nice enough to do an ultrasound on me again to really determine the sex of this baby and we definitely saw vagina. So it really is a girl! Get the pink and lavender and ribbons and fairies ready for this little baby girl with long legs. I wish I could post pictures but the ultrasound machine for some reason is printing really dark pictures and we really can't see anything.

This is so our kid

Well, we finally went for our ultrasound yesterday. First and foremost, everything looks great! Baby is growing right on time, all the parts are there, placenta is in the right spot and my cervix is closed. Then comes the time to find out the sex of this dear child. Well, of course, because we really want to know, this kid would not give up the money shot! We saw everything, kidneys, bladder, lips nose eyes, heart, spine, hands, feet...but no little boy parts nor girl parts grrrrrr. The baby is sitting breech almost right on my cervix with legs crossed underneath so that all we saw was butt and feet. The kid would not cooperate at all. Stubborn like her mother according to Mike hahaha. Thing is, since we didn't see any parts at all, the ultrasound tech said that if she were to tell us the sex, she would say it is most definitely a girl...she's 90% sure that it is a girl. When she did move her legs a little, we still didn't see any dangly parts so that's what makes the tech think that it's a girl. I agree with her. Usually when it's a boy, it's pretty obvious. There was nothing at all, so we are saying girl. It was actually funny because she was moving her mouth constantly like she was talking to us and Mike said "Oh yeah, it must be a girl, look at her yacking away already" hahaha. We are going for a 4D ultrasound at the end of July and hopefully it will confirm our girl. The tech was really nice, she said that since I work there, that I could come and see her anytime and if she's not busy, she will take another look to see if we can get the money shot. She did print some pictures for us but they are not very good...not clear at all. So lavender and pink it is! I think I'm gonna keep the tags on everything just in case. Now let the name choosing battle begin!

Oh and my mom is asking me for belly pictures because I have most definitely popped out now. I will try to do so asap. We are going to Disneyland next week so I'm sure we will have pictures then. Of course, I won't be doing any rides that I am not supposed to do. I will be the backpack holder and will be doing some shopping! I can't wait!!
